Favourite Saskatoon Wedding Venues (That aren’t hotels)

Searching for the perfect venue for your wedding can be tricky with so many different options. I’ve put together a list of some of my favourite Saskatoon wedding venues that are not hotels. Of course I’m always a bit biased towards venues with a beautiful aesthetic that offer the best for your wedding photos turn out stunning. Here’s a few of my all time favourites.

The Barn at Wind’s Edge

This venue was built specifically for weddings and it’s truly stunning. It really has everything you need. An outdoor ceremony space, gorgeous indoor ceremony and photo space, a room for each partner to get ready in and tons of natural light. The main reception space is stunning with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and chandeliers. This space is grand on it’s own but add florals and decor to the mix and you have a truly spectacular space to celebrate. This venue suits all styles of wedding but particularly shines with romantic and ethereal design elements.

Glass & Lumber

This saskatoon venue was previously a guitar shop that has been converted to a new event space. Standout features of this space include original exposed brick, tall ceilings, and southern facing windows with tons of natural light during the day. Glass and lumber is located on 20th Street in Riversdale making it easily accessible for guests from out of town staying in hotels. If you’re looking for a unique space that feels cozy, intimate and rustic.. this is the spot for you.

Remai Modern

Can you imagine hosting your wedding in the most beautiful building in Saskatoon? Remai Modern Art Gallery offers a sleek and upscale space with massive floor to ceiling windows with river front views. Right downtown, this space is easily accessible for guests. One of my favourite parts of this venue is the 4th floor rooftop facing the river. It’s so unique to Saskatoon and the perfect spot for sunset photos or rooftop cocktails. If your wedding dreams are modern, elegant and you want to wow your guests with the beautiful architecture, art and views of the river… this is your dream venue.

The Glen at Crossmount

The Glen is a lovely space to host a wedding. Similar layout to the barn, it has a beautiful open reception space that can easily be dressed up with decor and a secondary indoor and outdoor ceremony space. Guests can visit the cidery on location for tastings while you’re off having photos taken. The Glen is located just outside of Saskatoon. If you’re planning for a larger event, planning for something romantic and want to take advantage of the landscaping and Crossmount amenities, this is the perfect venue for you. Your Backyard

Not to be forgotten, renting a tent and designing an outdoor space have lead to some of my favourite weddings ever. With so many amazing options for caterers like Hearth, Calories, Taste YXE or food trucks, sometimes creating your own venue is the best way to truly personalize your wedding. Handy rentals is one of the places you can locally rent a backyard tent. If you have access to the space, always dreamed of a laid back venue and wanted to customize every detail while getting married outside… this is definitely something you should consider.

Saskatoon City Parks

Although not available for receptions, holding your wedding ceremony in one of Saskatoon’s beautiful parks is the perfect way to marry outside in nature by Saskatoon’s riverfront. Some of my favourite parks for wedding ceremonies include Victoria Park and President Murray Park. Contact the city to reserve the park for you wedding date.
